Petrified Creatures Museum (Richfield Springs)

Petrified Creatures

In May of 2005 we decided to take a day trip to go explore Cooperstown, NY (which will most likely be made into a page as well). We did a little research and found out that the Petrified Creatures Museum in Richfield Springs was very close by. So, of course, we had to pay this place a visit and find out exactly what it was. As it turns out, Project Absurd would recommend this museum to anyone who enjoys large (papier mache) dinosaurs (in problematic colors) and jars containing squid. What? Read the article to find out!

This place was great. I was there last summer 2010. It is very natural. A true Green business. One correction though they do not offer shovels and pails it is fossil digging with hammers and chisels. We dug for hours and found a lot of great stuff. trilobites and a straight shelled cephlapod it was GREAT! glad you enjoyed it as well. I love old Americana . I wish there was more of it.

We love it. We go there every year. Little kids love the dinos. Big kids love the fossils
